File restore
You can need to restore a file in two cases :
* File deletion
* File with an altered content
In both case, restore operation will have to be done from the Seafile web portal.
Connect to https://seafile.arxone.net
Warning ! A file or a file version can only be restored during the retention time (history) set within the library.
Deleted file
Once connected to the portal, go to the library including the file you are willing to restore.
In the menu located below the library's name, click on the trash icon.
The library's deleted file list is then shown.
When putting your mouse above the deleted file name, the "Restore" operation will appear on the right. Click on this action to restore the file within your library.
Previous version
Once connected to the portal, go to the library including the file you are willing to restore and then to the file location.
When putting your mouse above the deleted file name, a contextual menu button will appear on the right :
Click on it and select "History"
You will then see all the available versions of your file.
If you move your mouse pointer on a specific version, three choices will appear on the right :
- Restore directly puts the selected version instead of the current one
- Download doesn't crush the current version but places it in your download folder. This option allows you to check that the selected version truly is the one you need before crushing the current one
- Preview directly shows you the file content in your web browser (only if your file belongs to the supported file formats)
